Gospel Thoughts

As I listened to the lesson in Relief Society yesterday, I thought about the 4 groups of people talked about in relation to Lehi's dream.  It did not hit me until some time later that the lesson was about being committed members of the church.  The talk/lesson was in direct correlation with the another talk given in conference back in April.  One of the general authorities gave a talk about being committed members of the church, not just buffet members.  Anyone can pick and choose the principles they choose to live by like with any religion, but to get to where we want to be we must follow ALL of the commandments.  I think about this and it has only been in the last couple of years that we have fully committed ourselves to ALL of the commandments.  Not an easy task and we are far from perfect, but we are trying.  Holding strong to the rod is so important in life, it will help us weather the storms that come our way and make the best choices for our lives.
