Wondering

So, my oldest son is in the 5th grade. He is tall and handsome. A girl for some years now has been trying to get his attention. Back in the 3nd grade, she asked him if he liked Cheerleaders, because she is a cheerleader. It was followed by an invite to come and watch her cheer at a high school football game. The high school cheerleaders do a fundraiser, where the elementary age girls come and learn a cheer. We did not go that year, because I was pregnant with Emma and did not want to go sit in the bleachers. Then over the summer she called to find out if he thought she was cute. Well, she is in his class again this year. Everyday Zach comes home with a new story about what happened at school with this girl. It was culminated yesterday when she came over and asked him, if he was going to buy her a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. I hope whoever is reading this is chuckling, because did. However it made me wonder, is this what I have to look forward to for the next several years. When did we start Junior High behavior in elementary. When I was in the 5th grade I did not think about boys like that, if at all. Wish me luck!!

Ha. That is too cute. The girls are much more aggressive than we were at that age eh? I cannot believe he is old enough to be thinking of girls! I feel ya though, I caught Riley playing kissing tag with my 8-year-old scouts! She is 5!

So...is he going to get her some chocolates? Just kidding! I am not a parent and in my opinion kids are more mature than I was. Good Luck!
