An Evening in the Park

We took the kids to the Balloon Glow last Saturday night. However we did not see the balloons glow, but had a fun time watching the kids play at the playground. On our adventure, we saw Grandpa Mike, who came without grandma. She was home finishing PJ's for the kids. We also saw Uncle Royal and Aunt Desiree, while the kids and dad were running the bases at the ball field. They were racing to see who could be the fastest! After we stayed to find out the balloons were not going to glow, because there was a slight breeze, we went to Grandma's to get the new PJ's. The kids were excited to have some that would help keep them warm, because the nights have gotten colder from the seasons changing. We look forward to next years Skyfest and the fun we will have there.

Labor Day

This Hyrum with the boys!
This the picture of the prairie dog float!

My sister and her husband Hyrum came from Las Vegas to spend the day with us. We started out at the day with the parade in Parowan. We Caravaned with them, along with Grandma and Mike. We found a place in the shade with some grass for the kids to play on before it started. Dad's favorite float was the on with the prairie dogs on it, because only in Southern Utah would you see a float like that. After we had all the parade we wanted to see, we headed over to the rides. The boys first went on the Tornado with Uncle Hyrum. Then they went on the Fun Slide. Next it was off to the Swings. The boys looked like they were flying planes. They then went on the obstacle course and Space Scrambler, except Thomas who went on the Kiddie Roller Ride. However next time he says he will go on the other. It is hard to believe he is tall enough for all the exciting rides. Next it was on to the Ferris Wheel and last the Gravitron. All the boys went on the Gravitron and even though it made them feel weird, said they will go on it again. The kids went down to the Petting Zoo. They like interacting with farm animals. It was time for lunch and down time at home, so that is where we went. Later on in the afternoon, MaryAnn and Hyrum came over to play with the kids before heading home. Grandma and Mike came for traditional Labor Day cook out. That was the end to a very fun and eventful day!!
